The things I will miss

quoting apostle Paul

"When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.......The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. " -Apostle Paul

If we can agree with Paul in this. And always trade our mind with Christ's mind in comprehending the Word, I think all Christians, regardless of denominations, will think the same. Cos there's only ONE mind of Christ.

He will have no fear of bad news....

Psalm 112

V.1
Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD
       who finds great delight in his commands.....
....
V.7
He will have no fear of bad news;
       his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

When I was reading this scripture, the word "no fear of bad news" caught my attention. I guess it's because we live presently in a world that's full of bad news. And WHO IN THE WORLD can have no fear of bad news? People have fear.

But He who fears the Lord doesn't.

After reading the passage, I come to a conclusion. (My personal opinion tho. If anyone wants to add on.. please....). Those who fear the Lord will get wisdom. Because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A wise person is one who is established on the ways of the Lord and His sovereignty. One who trusts in the ways of God, and not the ways of the world.

In VV.4-6

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
       for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.

Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely,
       who conducts his affairs with justice.

Surely he will never be shaken;
       a righteous man will be remembered forever.

V.9

He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor.

Being a righteous man isn't what the world preaches. But those who will stand by righteousness, in the fear of the Lord. Although the world preaches something contrary to the word of God. If we the children of God chooses God's way, in fear of the Lord. We shall not be moved. Because in trusting His ways, He will never let us down. In whatever situation it may be applicable to you. Trusting Him isn't always the easiest thing to do. May we all ask the Lord to teach us in the lesson of trust. So that we'll be trained in letting go, and let God take the lead. When storms hit us, we'll be so trained in trusting Him that we no longer fear but just trust in His sovereignty.

Fearing the Lord is walking in His ways. Walking in His ways involves trusting Him. The more we trust Him, the more secure we are.

no this no that

beginning next year, i no longer enjoy free travel fiscal out of indonesia.

urgh. which means whenever i travel from indonesia to sg via ferry. I have to pay Rp 500.000,-. having a student pass gives me 4 times free travel fiscal? and this would limit my travelling so much!

beginning a few weeks from now, my mom can no longer import stuff from overseas. and this means that she'd have to buy stuff from jakarta, or somewhere in indo. limited choice.

i guess our president is trying to improve economy.. but this has wide impact on alot of business.. i guess we'll just have to learn to adapt to it.

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. no more free fiscal. urgh urgh urgh
